A few completed steps make Orientation Day much easier.
Start in your enrollment portal, then use D2L and your latest Orientation confirmation email for the information assigned to you. Online Welcome and ORIE 0001 are separate requirements.
Undergraduate Orientation is planned, hosted, and executed by the Office of New Student & Family Transitions.

Open Online Welcome in your enrollment portal and finish the task by the date shown there.
Choose an available Orientation session and confirm any guests attending with you. Students may register up to five guests.
ORIE 0001 is a separate Orientation course. Complete the assigned work and follow the due dates shown in D2L.
Your most recent Orientation email has the arrival time, check-in location, parking assignment, and instructions for your session.
Orientation fees are non-refundable. You may pay before the session or at check-in. If the student fee is unpaid, a hold will remain on the account and may affect class registration until the fee is satisfied.
New Student & Family Transitions handles fee and fee-waiver questions internally and in alignment with the University System of Georgia-approved fee schedule. Email orientation@augusta.edu for individual guidance.
You may reschedule in your enrollment portal through the Friday before your scheduled Orientation. The portal will show the sessions that still have space.
Virtual Orientation is limited to students who:
Students who do not meet one of these criteria should select an in-person session.
Most new degree-seeking undergraduate students attend. If you completed 麻豆国产AV Orientation within the previous three semesters, you do not need to attend again. If you are returning in the fourth semester away or later, you must attend.
Orientation is not required for post-baccalaureate or non-degree students, but it is highly recommended.
Graduate orientation is handled by the Graduate School or the student's college or program. Dual Enrollment Student Orientation is coordinated by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
