Dive into the Scottish health adventure of a lifetime with fellow AU students. Uncover the secrets of rural nursing in Aberdeen, Scotland, guided by experts from both AU & Robert Gordon University. Students are immersed in clinical practice amidst the stunning Scottish Highlands. And of course, don鈥檛 miss out on castle hopping and a thrilling Loch Ness boat tour!
Students will engage in rural clinical practice and critical reflection of the learning experience and patient care opportunities.
Prerequisites: This program is available to BSN & DNP students.

JuneDepart for Scotland鈥攕tudents begin their international adventure with an overnight flight.

JuneArrive and travel to Inverness to settle into University of the Highlands & Islands dorms; enjoy a relaxed evening to explore the area or rest.

JuneTake a scenic clinic trip to Raasay Island, explore the Loch Ness by boat with a visit to Urquhart Castle, and end the day with a classic afternoon tea at the Kings Mill Hotel.

JuneVisit an NHS Highlands clinic in Inverness for firsthand insight into the Scottish healthcare system, then tour the Eilean Donan Castle.

June Discover local history with a visit to Inverness Castle and the battlefield site
of Culloden.

JuneTravel to Peterhead for a hospital visit, followed by a stop at the cliffside ruins of Slains Castle.

JuneExplore the history of medicine at the Surgeons' Hall Medical Museum in Edinburgh.
